| b. Purworejo, C. Java, Indonesia, 1959. Studied graphic design at ITB / Bandung Institute of Technology from 1979 to 1986. Upon graduation, he worked as a freelance illustrator in Jakarta. In 1996, his work was selected as one of the Top Ten winners of the Indonesian Art Awards, and was included in the ASEAN Art Awards in Bangkok, Thailand. He has had solo exhibitions in Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Koshigaya City, Saitama (Japan) and Brisbane (Australia), and has participated in group exhibitions in Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Cuba, Malaysia, India, Singapore, The Netherlands, Germany, Mexico and Australia. |
