| Bandung, Indonesia, 1935 - 1985. He began his studies in painting at the age of twenty-one under the guidance of Kartono Yudhokusumo at Sanggar Seniman (Artist’s Society) and then with Barli. He took part in joint exhibitions in Jakarta, Bandung and Surabaya in 1959. He moved to Bali in 1969, and developed strong contacts with European artists. Exhibitions of his works were held in Indonesia, Denmark, Stuttgart, and Netherlands. His first solo exhibition was held in Jakarta in 1973. | |
