| Padangtegal, Ubud, Bali, Indonesia, 1911 - 1992. A member of the Pita Maha artists’ association, he was one of the first Balinese artists to study with Walter Spies and Rudolf Bonnet. His work was influenced by both teachers. Sobrat spent two years as a lecturer at ASRI / Indonesian Academy of Fine Arts, Yogyakarta from 1957-1959. He received the Dharma Kusuma Art Award and the Wijaya Kusuma Art Award. | |
