| Born in Tabanan, Bali, Indonesia, 1951. He graduated from ITB / Bandung Institute of Technology in 1979, majoring in sculpture. He became involved in the Gerakan Seni Rupa Baru Indonesia / Indonesian New Art Movement in 1979. He has had several solo exhibitions in Indonesia, and has participated in group exhibitions in Indonesia, Singapore, France, Switzerland, Philippines and Japan. He has created numerous public monuments and sculptures in various cities throughout Indonesia, and has received art awards in Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines. He is the founder of the Nyoman Nuarta Sculpture Park and Studio in Bandung. | |
