Acclaimed visual artist Araceli Limcaco-Dans is one the most famous living artists of the Philippines today. She was mentored under Angela Fernandez and National Artist Fernando Amorsolo while studying at the University of The Philippines School of Fine Arts. She is known for her concern on emotional and
expressive possibilities of art. Araceli also possessed a unique affinity for her human soul. Her myriad of personal experiences, from her colourful upbringing to her encounters during the Second World War, infused her works with a plethora of emotions such as nostalgia, love, longing and even loss.
