| b. Blitar, E. Java, Indonesia, 1949 Harsono studied painting at Sekolah Tinggi Seni Rupa Indonesia 'ASRI' (Indonesia College of Fine Arts) in Yogyakarta from 1969 to 1974, and at Institut Kesenian Jakarta (Jakarta Institute of Art) from 1987 to 1991. He participated in the Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary art at the Queensland Art Gallery in Brisbane, Australia in 1993; at the Asia Society in New York, USA in 1996; and in the Gwangju Biennale in Korea in 2000. He has also held his solo exhibitions in 1994 and 2003 at Galeri Nasional Indonesia in Jakarta and in 2003 at Cemeti Art House in Yogyakarta. |
