| Medan, N. Sumatra, Indonesia, 1916 - Jakarta, Indonesia, 2005. He taught at Taman Siswa (1945-1949). In 1951 he was appointed as an art instructor at the Indonesian Academy of Fine Arts (ASRI), Yogyakarta. He went for two years (1954-1956) to Rusli’s works were exhibited at the Biennale Exhibition II in Sao Paolo, Brazil in 1953. A solo exhibition was held at Palazzo Brancaccio , Rome, Italy (1954-1956). He was elected in 1970 as a life member of the Jakarta Academy. |
