| Born in Vietnam, 1908, died in Paris, France, 2000. Vu was amongst the second group (1926-1931) of the sculpture section to graduate from the Ecole des Beaux Arts de l’Indochine where he developed a passion for the teaching of Victor Tardieu and the art history classes of Victor Goloubew. He held his first exhibition in 1928 together with his close friends and fellow students Le Pho and Mai Thu. He lived and worked in France for many years: together with Le Pho and Mai Thu, he is considered to be one of the masters of the Vietnamese school in Paris. |
