Ronald C. Ventura

(b. Manila, The Philippines, 1973)
Ronald Ventura graduated in 1993 with a BFA, Major in Painting, from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. He was a finalist in the 1999 Taiwan International Biennale Painting and Drawing Competition and his work was given the Juror’s Choice in the Philip Morris Philippine Art Awards in 2002. The following year, he was conferred with the Cultural Center of the Philippines Thirteen Artists Award and in 2005, he was one of the three winners of the Ateneo Art Awards, a contemporary art prize bestowed on young Filipino visual artists. He was also the inaugural recipient of the Ateneo Art Gallery Sydney Studio Residency Grant, exhibiting at the Cross Art Projects, Sydney, Australia in November 2005. His work can also be found in the Singapore Art Museum collection.
