| b. Penang, Malaysia, 1974 He graduated in Fine Art majoring in Painting from Malaysian Institute of Art, in 1996. He has participated in several group exhibitions in Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Japan. Recently, in 2007, he held solo exhibition at Red Mill Gallery, Vermont, USA. He had received many awards. Among the awards won are Full Scholarship Art Award, 2nd BOH Cameronian Art Awards Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Top 3 Winner Malaysia Young Contemporaries 2004 and The Mayor of Beppu Prize from Aeppu Art Museum, Beppu, Oita, Japan, Asian Artists Fellowships, Freeman Foundation Vermont Studio Center Award, USA in 2006/2007, and Top 30 Finalists-Sovereign Asian Art Prize, Hong Kong, in 2007. His selected works are in the collection of Beppu Art Museum, Japan, National Art Gallery, Malaysia, National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Taiwan, NN Gallery, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Singapore Art Seasons as well as private collectors. | |
