A painter, sculptor and National Artist, Jerry Elizalde Navarro majored in Painting at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, doing further studies at the Art Students League in New York, USA. His first solo show was staged at the Philippine Art Gallery in 1954 and he was the Philippine representative to the Sao Paolo Biennale in 1969 and again in 1971. He taught at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila and in the National Art School of Sydney, Australia |
